Learn the checks
Every line on an ApeCheck report, explained in a minute each. Read these once and you will never look at a chart the same way.
What is mint authority on Solana?
Mint authority: can the dev print more tokens?
Mint authority is the key that can create new tokens out of thin air. If it is still active, the deployer can dilute every holder at will.
What is freeze authority?
Freeze authority: can your wallet be locked?
Freeze authority lets the token's controller freeze any holder's token account, so they can buy but never sell.
What does LP locked mean?
LP lock and burn: can the liquidity be pulled?
The liquidity pool is what lets you sell. If the LP tokens are locked or burned, the deployer cannot withdraw the pool; if they aren't, they can drain it in one transaction.
What is holder concentration in crypto?
Holder concentration: who can dump on you?
The share of supply held by the top 10 wallets. High concentration means a few wallets can crash the price by selling; pools and burn wallets are excluded.
How do I check a memecoin dev's history?
The dev rap sheet: what did this wallet launch before?
The deployer wallet's previous tokens and how many of them are dead. A wallet whose launches keep losing their liquidity is a pattern worth knowing before the next one.
What is a honeypot token?
Honeypot: when you can buy but never sell
A honeypot is a contract that lets you buy but blocks or taxes your sell into nothing. On BNB Chain, Ethereum and Base, ApeCheck simulates a sell to detect it.
How does ApeCheck calculate the risk score?
How the 0-100 risk score works
Every token starts at 100 and loses points for each structural risk: active authorities, unlocked liquidity, concentrated holders, thin liquidity, a bad dev record, and on EVM chains honeypot and tax findings.
